The Castaways Beach House Resort offers private, one bedroom apartments with queen-sized bed, fully furnished kitchen, living room with pull-out sofa, and bathroom. Each apartment has a large private deck facing the sea.

We are closer than you think !
The Turks & Caicos Islands are located just south of the Bahamas, an easy 1 1/2 hour flight from Miami.
The official currency is the American dollar. Visitors from the United States and Canada do not need
passports for entry into the islands. Documentary proof of citizenship can be an original birth certificate, voter's registration card or photo I.D.

Salt Cay,
An island rich in heritage, has recently been designated a UNESCO World heritage site. Here the remnants of the once flourishing salt industry are scattered throughout the small island. Still visible are the low stone walls and canals built to control and speed up the natural process of solar evaporation, along with the old
windmills and aging piles of sea salt.

Our Resort

Our resort consists of three buildings and five one bedroom efficiency units with sofa beds to accommodate additional party members or family.

We are nestled above the turquoise ocean just one minute from the beach. We offer views and natural splendor that you will pray your camera can capture as well as your minds eye, so that you may bring this memory back to share with friends and family or dwell upon until such time as opportunity may present itself to allow you to return. The only comparable areas in the entire Turks & Caicos Islands are in Provo at the Northwest point where you will pay a minimum of $500.00 per night or the Windmills of Salt Cay at $600.00+ per night.

Unlimited shore diving and some of the best snorkeling on the island are just a five minute swim from our beach directly below the Castaways cottages.

Our Staff

When you step off the plane on Salt Cay and see the smiles of Nathan " Teddy " Smith and Oliver Been, our agent and property managers, It will set the pace for the entire vacation. One of natural splendor as well as fine accommodations and some of the friendliest people in the caribbean as your hosts. Visit our resident Castaway, Brian Sheedy at the Mt Pleasant Guest House for a fine meal or spirits at our local watering hole. The Windmills Resort offer an option of shear elegance in an atmosphere reminiscent of the agean sea with its grecian decor and ambiance.

Salt Cay is a virgin dive location for scuba enthusiasts. The walls provide a fabulous array of corals and reef fish and you can often see manta rays, porpoise, turtles and humpback whales. The 200 feet of visibility is ideal for underwater photography.
