Situated on a three- and one-half mile stretch of white-sandy beach 20 miles from Naples, Fla., the Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort offers amenities and accommodations in a pristine setting. Close to many of the areas golf courses, the resort is three miles from a river marina and 52 miles from Southwest Florida International Airport. The 11-story, smoke-free Hilton is perched above a long, palm-tree lined drive. Inside, public spaces are classically modern. The lobby features marble floors, crystal chandeliers and brass accents. Walls of windows create a breezy effect and provide views of the hotel's upper terrace and pool area, while Asian-inspired carpets of sea foam and coral are a tropical nod to the surroundings. With its beachside locale, the hotel offers plenty of recreational activities. Guests can rent wave runners or play it safe in the temperate waters of the outdoor heated pool. Oceanside cabanas provide privacy and relaxation. And for more of the latter, guests can receive hot-stone or sports massages at the hotel's spa. A tiled locker room with wood lockers and vanities with complimentary bath products ensure guests' comfort. Attached to this area is a complete fitness center where guests can take aerobics classes or run on treadmills. There are also three tennis courts on-site. After working up an appetite, guests can head to the all-day Paradise Café for buffet breakfasts, pizza and other casual fare. The poolside Beach Club and Bar offers tropical drinks and sandwiches, and for fine dining, Sandcastle Dining Rooms and Piano Bar serves Floridian cuisine like lobster bisque and rack of lamb. Fully furnished tiled balconies are a highlight of the guestrooms. With gold tones, the rooms boast mahogany furnishings and triple-sheeted beds. The Marco Island Trolley offers a 90- minute narrated tour of the island's historic sights.
